About me

Hi there. My name is Kate and I bring with me, to Betterhelp, over 14 years of post-master clinical experience in Connecticut.
After earning my Masters at Fordham University, I gained valuable career experience through working in Substance Abuse out-patient rehab, Elderly psych support services, Emergency Room Psychiatric Crisis Intervention and private practice.
My approach can best be described as warm, respectful, non-judgmental encouragement with a smidge of humor thrown in. I utilize an eclectic array of treatment models tailoring them, as we go along, to your specific needs such as Cognitive-Behavior Treatment, Client-Centered Treatment, Mindfulness, and Solution-Focused Treatment to name a few.
I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns such as depression, anxiety, adjustment disorder, relationship issues, ADHD, and emotional abuse.
If you are here, you are looking to improve your life in some way. I applaud your courage and willingness to explore and renew your committment to yourself and your future. Life is full of choices and you just made an important one. I am here to support and empower you. Thank you.

I really enjoy sessions with Kathleen because it helps me to discuss things that are stressing me out, but also things that will empower me. After just a few sessions, I've already been able to make some concrete changes to improve life for myself.

Getting a therapist is like shopping for clothes.. You want to find something that feels right and fits nice. That is Kat for me! She is an absolute pleasure. I feel comfortable in every session and am willing to dive deep into my past. This wouldn’t be possible if it wasn’t for her.
