Hello and welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in individual, couples, and family practice. I trained at the National Institutes for the Psychotherapies in New York City, where I strengthened my therapeutic practice skills in Psychodynamic Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Couples Counseling. I have a Masters of Social Work from New York University, as well as a Master of Public Health from Tulane University. I am also experienced in working with clients who are experiencing physical health issues and/or adjusting to chronic illnesses.
I utilize a holistic approach, looking at all aspects of your life: mind, body, and spirit. I am an eclectic practitioner, drawing from years of my own clinical training, graduate studies, and life experience. My approach in working with clients is collaborative, positive, and focused on strengths and areas for growth and improvement. My clients appreciate my supportive but direct approach, and my consistent practice of challenging the unhelpful thoughts and beliefs that are impeding progress. I offer a supportive, non-judgmental, safe environment for disclosure and personal exploration, and regularly provide resources and recommendations for additional reading and out of session practices to help cement your progress.
I work with clients to sort through issues and blocks, deprogram and restructure beliefs, develop greater self-esteem and confidence, establish and maintain more fulfilling relationships, manage stress and isolation, learn effective strategies to cope with life’s challenges, and cultivate greater meaning and purpose. My practice is based on the belief that everyone deserves to feel loved, accepted, and fulfilled and that regardless of our life circumstances, we can heal and grow.
