Hello! My name is Kathryn Demiri, but please feel free to call me Katie. Welcome! I am a dual licensed (LPC, and SAC) board certified therapist from the state of Wisconsin. My education includes a masters degree from Marquette University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have been a therapist since 2011 working in mental health clinics conducting individual and group therapy sessions. The populations I have worked with include but are not limited to clients with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, AODA issues, and major life transitions. I enjoy helping others find meaning, set goals, and find a focus on self care.
My counseling style is warm, open, honest, and interactive. It is important to me to treat others with respect, sensitivity and compassion. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, holistic, mindfulness, grounding, acceptance/committment, behavioral and psychodynamic counseling. I recognize each and every client is unique and requires a unique mix of therapy techniques tailored specifically to their needs. I will tailor our time together and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
I recognize that it can take a lot of courage and strength to reach out for help. I commend you for coming this far to check out this information on the possibility of having me as your therapist. I look forward to working with you with guidance and empowerment as we move forward in setting and achieving your goals. Welcome! Let's talk soon!
