I am an older, licensed professional counselor who has 15-years experience working with clients who have substance use and/or domestic violence issues. I am semi-retired, working part-time for BetterHelp and part-time as a homemaker. I have a Christian background, but I am not "a Christian counselor." As I grow older, my psycho-spiritual practice continues to evolve. I am comfortable working with clients of any faith or persuasion, including agnostics or atheists. I value any positives in the books and peoples of the various religions, and other valuable books and peoples, seeing them as "mythopoetic" helpers along the way. My undergraduate degree was in psychology, with a minor in philosophy. My graduate psychology degree was grounded in humanistic, existential, phenomenological (subjective experience), and transpersonal studies. I will respect your lived experience, and I will professionally accompany you toward clarifying and realizing your goals in life. I strive to offer a non-judgmental, safe, and nurturing space for our work together.

Kathryn is a lovely person who listens and validates you throughout the session!

I have enjoyed working with Kathryn. She has helped me to reflect and look at things differently. Her worksheets requires a person to reflect and analyze ones actions, and to find a solution. She is a good listener and makes me smile when I am down.

Kathryn is quick to listen and slow to speak. She has great insight and encouragement and I really love healing with her in my corner.

Absolutely enjoyed every session with Kathy. She is very empathetic and had a few relatable stories to share (which I really appreciated). The tools she provided me for my anxiety were very helpful, however, Kathy had a greater impact regarding my Christianity. I definitely would recommend Kathy to anyone but especially therapy newbies because she is very easy to talk to.
