Kathryn Everette

LPMHC, LPC

About me

I am a LPC therapist licensed in Alabama and Delaware and have over 6 years of working with individuals and families, helping navigate the hardships that life throws at us. I have worked with clients with various life problems such as work stress, family conflict, anxiety, depression, trauma symptoms, and parenting problems. While I have the most experience working with teenagers, in recent years I have branched out to work with adults and younger children. I have helped clients identify, process, and move past what is blocking them from living the life they want.

I come from a therapeutic style of compassion, understanding, educating, and not judging. I believe that we all need to have a kind, unbiased, and honest person with whom we can trust to help where we need it sometimes. I primarily use cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) skills, solution focused brief therapy, motivational interviewing, Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, Emotion Freedom Techniques (EFT), and client based modalities. You will be the captain of the ship, I just give advice on how to get where you want to be. So, you choose the treatment goals, and we will work together to create the right kind of treatment plan that will work best for you.

I am proud of doing this for yourself and taking the brave step to seek assistance on your journey. I hope to give you the guidance, techniques, and coping skills in order for you to achieve your goals.

I look forward to working with you!

So far, I found myself in a place where I wasn’t at before due to the help of Kathryn. She helps me see the problems in a much deeper way that I didn’t think about before. She guides me step by step to reveal what’s underneath the skin and slowly moves to the roots. I still have a lot to work on but I won’t give up. Thank you, Kathryn, for such an amazing time.

Kathryn is the sweetest! She has made my first foray into the world of counseling/therapy an amazing experience.
Kathryn reflectively listens, asks straight forward questions, and patiently waits for me to formulate answers. Her guidance in positive steps have been encouraging, supportive, practical, and flexible. I always have much to think about and new tools to utilized during my next week. I walk away from our sessions feeling heard, cared about, knowing I have someone to check in with if I need help, much like a good friendship.
Kathryn is down to earth, open and friendly, and I would recommend her to anyone looking for this kind of therapy support.

Kathryn has helped me so much and has helped me learn how to overcome past trauma and how to become a better version of myself. She not only knows how to listen, she creates a safe space for you to open up so that she can help you find the root to things and begin to make step by step changes. She also helped me to understand that therapy takes time and is not an overnight process. The time and work that she puts in her sessions is very authentic and I couldn't have asked for a better therapist. She is one that will treat you with repsect and kidness and will help guide you and help you realize you are capable of more than what you think you are capable of. She truly helps you see your potential and what you can achieve one step at a time. I would recommend Kathryn to anyone who may struggle with past emotional trauma and its effects. She is a phenomenal therapist.

Kathryn is a very responsive and knowledgeable therapist who took me to step by step working on my issues. Talking to her about every aspect of my life was life-changing. We've been working on my self-confidence and I've made a lot of progress, she made me realize that the world is not as scary as I thought and brought my confidence rise up. Listens carefully and asks the right questions. Also, very thankful that Kathryn provides the information about the topics that you are concerned about. It is very warm and comfortable to talk with her!
