About me

My name is Kathryn Falbo-Woodson, MSW, LSCW, and I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in NC with more than 15 years of experience in the mental health field. I have an undergraduate degree in psychology (BA) and a Master's in Social Work (MSW). I have volunteered in different capacities with local nonprofit organizations, supporting social justice and suicide prevention efforts.

My background includes extensive experience understanding hope and resiliency and treating stress-related disorders, such as trauma, relationship distress, anxiety and depression. Many times these conditions go hand-in-hand with other medical conditions (i.e., autoimmune disorders, cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, neurological disorders, etc.) or life stages (i.e., career changes, caregiving, death/dying, divorce/separation, empty nest, retirement, etc.). I also work with individuals in "health coaching" capacities, such as developing effective strategies to enhance well-being, including improved sleep, weight loss, stress reduction, and pain management.

I work from a compassion-oriented framework to foster holistic healing. Our work will be grounded in safety and hope. Many clients tell me I make them feel very at home and comfortable as if we've known each other for a very long time even upon our first meeting together. I recognize that asking for help is a difficult first step in your healing process and I am honored to walk alongside you on this journey.

I was lucky enough to be matched with Kathryn for several issues relating to getting my life back on track. I’ve been in therapy before, but I’ve never made as much progress as I have during these past few months. I will be eternally grateful for her excellent questions, professionalism, and advice. BetterHelp is an investment but she made every dollar worth it.
