My name is Kathryn Falbo-Woodson, MSW, LSCW, and I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in NC with more than 15 years of experience in the mental health field. I have an undergraduate degree in psychology (BA) and a Master's in Social Work (MSW). I have volunteered in different capacities with local nonprofit organizations, supporting social justice and suicide prevention efforts.
My background includes extensive experience understanding hope and resiliency and treating stress-related disorders, such as trauma, relationship distress, anxiety and depression. Many times these conditions go hand-in-hand with other medical conditions (i.e., AIDS, cancer, diabetes, neurological disorders, heart conditions, etc.) or life stages (i.e., caregiving, career changes, empty nest, leaving home, retirement, divorce, blended family, death/dying, etc.). I also work with individuals in health coaching capacities, developing effective strategies to enhance well-being, such as improved sleep, weight loss, stress reduction, and pain management.
I work from a compassion-oriented framework to foster holistic healing. Our work will be grounded in safety and hope. Many clients tell me I make them feel very at-home and comfortable, as if we've known each other for a very long time even upon our first meeting together. I recognize that asking for help is a difficult first step in your healing process and I am honored to walk alongside you on this journey.

Kathryn is a wonderful therapist. She listens and works with me to focus my goals and create plans to help me achieve the desired outcomes. She is also smart and non-judgmental. She cares. I would recommend Kathryn to anyone.
Kathryn is such an empathetic and supportive counselor. It always feels like she's in it with me, tackling everything by my side. In my darkest moments I'm so grateful to have her as a source of comfort and healing.
The best therapist. She listens and understands me. Helped me find self love.
She is amazing
Absolutely the best therapist I have talked to, very comfortable to talk too and extremely friendly!
I was lucky enough to be matched with Kathryn for several issues relating to getting my life back on track. I’ve been in therapy before, but I’ve never made as much progress as I have during these past few months. I will be eternally grateful for her excellent questions, professionalism, and advice. BetterHelp is an investment but she made every dollar worth it.
Kathryn always takes the time to offer a variety of strategies to assist my managing of stress and anxiety. She offers insight and advice that is client-specific, which I really appreciate as a health care worker.
Kathryn is excellent. She brings great guidance, understanding, empathy and competence to our sessions. I really thought this wasn't going to be successful when I signed up. I was wrong. Great so far!!
Kathryn is unbelievably professional and offers incredible guidance. She’s an incredible person who legitimately cares about her clients. She is awesome and I am lucky to have her in my life.
She is amazing! She has helped me in ways I never expected! She is flexible in her scheduling and always accommodates my ever changing schedule. 10/10 recommendation!
Kathryn Falbo-Woodson clearly cares and pays attention to you. She was easy to talk to, even when discussing a very difficult topic.
Kathryn is a wonderful, highly personable counselor who has helped me better myself in multiple ways and guided me to personal goals I was unable to achieve on my own. I'm deeply grateful for the help she's been able to provide and I'd recommend her to anyone.
Kathryn is awesome! As a first time user of Betterhelp, and a first time participant in counseling, she made it a VERY easy and comfortable process. A true professional, she broke down my goals for counseling with me and helped guide me through the process of figuring out what I wanted to accomplish. I would recommend Kathryn to anyone looking to get into counseling.
Thank you, Kathryn, for your calmness, your attentiveness and your thoughtfulness. I feel like I can be "real" with you and not feel overly vulnerable. Rather than feeling lost or confused after our sessions, I almost universally feel smarter, more capable and supported. It allows me to do my life and my job with more ease and self assurance. Thank you.
Kathryn helped me through one of the hardest times in my life. When I first began therapy I was extremely anxious and really struggling to get through the day. Kathryn was able to connect with me quickly in a very authentic way. She really heard me through my often rambling messages. She validated my feelings and helped me learn to manage my emotions and stress. Her support and insight was invaluable. And I can honestly say that I am happier and thriving now after my experience with her.
I was in a really bad place before I began my counseling sessions with Kathryn. More than anything, she really seemed to listen to my concerns and offer sound and quality advice, in addition to doing exercises with me to work through my thoughts and feelings. Wonderful experience!
She's very knowledgeable very patient and very upfront
I feel so fortunate to have gotten paired with Kathryn as my counselor. I felt nervous coming into counseling because there was so much on my mind and I felt so overwhelmed, but she was able to guide me through processing my past traumas. She also provided me with very practical solutions to help me get to know myself better. Her ability to empathize and connect with me made our video calls feel more like we were just sitting across from each other. I couldn't recommend Kathryn more highly to anyone seeking out a counselor.
