About Me

Hi, my name is Kathryn and I have over 20 years of experience in social work and psychotherapy. I am currently licensed to practice social work and psychotherapy in Colorado. I have experience working with all ages, but I particularly enjoy working with people who are struggling with various stressors in their life, who are searching for some guidance to become more confident, whole and full of purpose.

A lot of people feel ashamed or embarrassed to ask for help, especially those who are self sufficient and have a large sense of responsibility. Are you finding yourself faced with a life transition and need some help navigating? Are you facing an obstacle that is inhibiting you from getting to a place you want to be mentally or physically? Perhaps you are experiencing anxiety regarding a major life decision? Anxiety, depression, grief and loss, compassion fatigue and burnout are just a few symptoms that can develop if you do not address the stressor. In addition, these are particularly stressful times for so many of us. I have 10 years of disaster behavioral health experience. During this time of isolation, quarantine, I can offer you the support and connection you need. For those on the front-line such as doctors, nurses and other first-responders, I am here to provide you with the space you need to process the difficult emotions that come with your daily work.

My interventions focus on your strengths and will provide you with a better sense of self- control and confidence. I am here to offer support on your journey. I utilize an integrated approach that is client centered. You will learn to understand yourself, believe in yourself, trust yourself and find meaning in your life.

I have early morning, evening and weekend hours available. I offer support via text, phone, chat and video.
I look forward to lending you a hand.

I haven’t been seeing Kathryn very long, but with the time that I have had her as a counselor, she’s helped me to see what I need to improve and wants to help me with these things and for that I will always be grateful! She’s the best counsler I’ve ever had!

Kathryn is the best therapist I've ever had! She's amazingly helpful and patient and supportive, and provides the perfect mix of open-ended questioning and firm advice. I'm so happy I found her. I grow much faster with the help of her insights. She helps me cut through the noise and confusion of global pandemic, depression and a host of other difficult influences with grace and ease.

I am incredibly grateful to have been paired up with Kathryn. From day one I felt supported and cared for. Before Betterhelp, I felt like I had lost my purpose and my vision in life. Kathryn was able to help me find the tools in my environment to overcome this difficult time - I had the strength and the power within me all along, I just didn't know how to find them.

I have loved my experience with Kathryn through better help! She has been amazingly supportive and asked me questions that actually make me think. I have felt very comfortable with her from the beginning. I have recommended this app to multiple people!

Kathryn listens to me and helps me identify the ways I am thinking that are helpful and less helpful. She reminds me of my strengths and encourages me to build on them. Her knowledge and compassion are invaluable!

So glad I was matched with Kathryn Tromans. Had some major realizations occur during conversations that were enjoyable. She even was understanding when I explained that I prefer chat sessions. ;)

Definitely glad I made this connection and I know I can come back at any time to process with her and feel clarity of mind and soul in so doing.

As session four ended, I’m feeling pretty grateful to have been match with Kathryn Tromans. From the first session she has demonstrated a keen ability to listen to my concerns with compassion and clarity. I appreciate the safe environment Kathryn creates at each session--I have cried with deep sorrow, laugh at things I couldn’t see and learned new objectives.
Above all, I feel hopeful again. Thank you Kathryn. I also want to thank Better Help for an excellent match!
