I have a Master’s Degree in Social Work, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Oregon and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist in the state of North Carolina. I became a social worker to support people at the end of their lives. At the beginning of my career, an opportunity to do that was not available, so for a long time I supported people in Recovery from substance abuse and mental health issues, and I then switched over to end-of-life care. Due to my eclectic path, I have acquired a knack for supporting people through the changes in their lives. This includes folks who may have high psycho-social needs, folks who may not be aware of available resources, and folks who may just need a person to support the changes that are happening in their lives due to their situation, or the changes they are making in their lives due to their own goals and wishes.
One of my specialties that I hold closest to my heart is pet loss grief support.

Kathy just gets me, she understood my situation in just a quick introduction and it feels like I am talking to someone that has gone through this experience with me from the beginning.
Kathy is wonderful. She helps me stand back and look at situations in a different light. She offers worksheets that help me come to my own realizations. I’m 52 and have been in and out of therapy since I was 23. I find both Kathy and the online approach to be one of the most useful type of therapies I have tried. This approach helps to speed along the recovery process and in the long run is well worth the costs. The absolute most important first step to any therapy is finding the right therapist for you. Better Help made that possible. I hope this will be the model for therapy in the future. I feel fortunate to have found Kathy and this online program.
Kathy has been nothing short of incredible as my therapist! She really knows how to get to the root of any issues or stresses that I have going on and she helps me to face those things head on so I can work my way through them!

Kathy has been so helpful over the past month or so. She takes a solutions-based approach which has been great for me.
She can read into you so well. I don't think there's an expression she can't comprehend. It's also like she knows where you're trying to go and what you're trying to figure out. And she guides you there and to other places you didn't know you needed to explore.
Kathy writes back quickly and thoughtfully to the written correspondence. This for me has already been so helpful because I do process information better when I have time to reflect and write. Having that response to challenge thought processes throughout the week has been incredibly helpful for my journey. In-person she asks a lot of questions, is empathetic, and non-judgmental.
