I have a Master’s Degree in Social Work, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist in the state of North Carolina. I became a social worker to support people at the end of their lives. At the beginning of my career, an opportunity to do that was not available, so for a long time I supported people in Recovery from substance abuse and mental health issues, and I then switched over to end-of-life care. Due to my eclectic path, I have acquired a knack for supporting people through the changes in their lives. This includes folks who may have high psycho-social needs, folks who may not be aware of available resources, and folks who may just need a person to support the changes that are happening in their lives due to their situation, or the changes they are making in their lives due to their own goals and wishes.
One of my specialties that I hold closest to my heart is pet loss grief support.

The platform provided by BetterHelp allows more fluid communication between therapist and patient. This model makes all the difference in reaching your mental health goals. It is worth the cost even if you have insurance because of the 24/7 access which helps facilitate a faster resolution.

Kathy has been in tune with my needs and very supportive since I’ve had the pleasure of working with her.
Kathy has been so helpful over the past month or so. She takes a solutions-based approach which has been great for me.
She can read into you so well. I don't think there's an expression she can't comprehend. It's also like she knows where you're trying to go and what you're trying to figure out. And she guides you there and to other places you didn't know you needed to explore.
Kathy writes back quickly and thoughtfully to the written correspondence. This for me has already been so helpful because I do process information better when I have time to reflect and write. Having that response to challenge thought processes throughout the week has been incredibly helpful for my journey. In-person she asks a lot of questions, is empathetic, and non-judgmental.
