About Me
Hello and welcome to my online therapy practice! I have 13 years of experience in private practice as a licensed psychologist. I have worked with many clients who have a wide variety of concerns such as depression, anxiety, relationship concerns, adjustment to life changes, disordered eating, and trauma/abuse.
My therapy style is warm, encouraging, and non-judgmental. I view therapy as a team approach where we work together to create growth and positive changes in your life. I use a variety of therapy approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, and mindfulness based therapy. I try to adjust my therapy approach to each client's specific needs and to start wherever each client feels most comfortable.

Dr. Cowan really takes her time with her patients and goes that extra mile. She interacts with you and explains things to you as a caring close friend would. She’ll speak to you in detailed yet thought provoking ways, using metaphors and addressing each and every issue mentioned to her in each message. Adding to that, the patience she has and time she takes on her patients is very admirable and respectable. Not many counselors, therapists, and/or doctors willing to do this or even contemplate the idea. So, would I recommend this Dr.? Absolutely! Even with the rather short period it has been, I’ve been seeing helpful results from not only Dr. Cowan but from this app in general as well.
