Katie McCaskie, LCSW
About me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with 19 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families. My role as a therapist involves listening without judgment or assumptions and sometimes providing alternative ways of seeing a situation in order to help you meet your goals. Reaching out for help takes courage and I feel privileged to support people on their brave journeys. I have assisted individuals in navigating a range of issues including, depression, stress, anxiety, family separation and loss, immigration, and life transitions. Social justice and anti-racism have always been critical elements of my practice. I provide ongoing education on the process of counseling and how different interventions may serve your individual needs. Clients have described me as compassionate, perceptive, empathic and supportive. I have primarily worked in NYC and also have experience working with families in Costa Rica and eSwatini. I look forward to meeting you and working together!
