About me

Hello and thank you for putting yourself first! Reaching out for any type of help but leave us feeling vulnerable and scared, you're doing something brave for yourself and shows great self care. I like to approach therapy/counseling as having someone that you can be your true self with, without the judgements and expectations that are often pushed on us from so many people. We go through so much in a week, a day and even an hour that stopping, even just a once a week, to process everything we've experienced in much needed. Finding the right fit is always the hardest part, but once you do, it can truly become life changing. I have worked for 12 years in community based, in home counseling and clinical care management and have worked with children, youth and families for my entire career. Navigating that complex relationships between everyone living in a family can be challenging . Starting with open communication to help each other understand what make each other feel the way they do is very important in starting to understand how to improve the family situation.

Working together to identify the main goals you have for yourself and utilizing current and introducing new supports you have to help strategize together to meet those goals is the main focus of my practice. Good luck and I'm here if you would like to talk!

She is extremely kind, caring, and understanding! She never makes me feel bad and she helps explain my own thoughts and even actions and reactions!

The times have changed but time for myself has not. As a single mom trying to move forward from my past its been really hard. In a moment of panic I signed up not really knowing what this was, just needing someone to talk to and actually it turned out to be great. Its nice to have someone else outside of friends and family to talk to and get support or advice from. Katie has been great at listening. She really makes me feel like I have somewhere to turn to and some one who's here for me.
