About me
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (74961) with the state of Texas and a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor (S8569) with the state of North Carolina, Licensed Professional Counselor (012345) with the state of Georgia, and a National Certified Counselor (251827) with the National Board of Certified Counselor. I have a Master’s of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from Chaminade University where my concentration was Marriage and Family Therapy (2009). My undergraduate degree in English, Literature is from North Carolina Central University (2005). I have ten years of counseling experience, my areas of experience include working with individuals who have been abused or have experienced traumatic events, family relationship issues, and life stage development issues, ADHD, Conduct Disorders, PTSD, Sexual Abuse, Women Issues, Career development and or transition, Bipolar, Stress and anxiety management. My approach to counseling involves helping clients to identify strengths within themselves while developing self-awareness. My therapeutic approach is eclectic, typically blending “Cognitive Therapy” developed by Aaron Beck, “Behavioral Therapy” developed by B.F. Skinner, “Person-Centered Therapy” developed by Carl Rogers, and “Solution Focused Brief Therapy” developed by Steve de Shazer and Insoo Kim Berg.

It has only been about 3 weeks with Miss Katrina and I'm already truly appreciating how great she is. She has helped me already so much and we've only had one video session. I'm excited to see how far I will be able to go with her amazing help
