About me

Welcome, and thank you for your interest in learning more about me. My name is Katrina and I am a licensed counselor in Colorado. I have 2 years experience working in the mental health flied. I have worked in a variety of setting including residential, outpatient, and in-home. What this means is that I have a lot of experience working with broad range and severity of clinical issues. In addition to my experience as a counselor, I have 6 years experience working as a victims advocate for individuals who have experienced trauma due to a crime. My main experience is working with individuals who struggle with depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship issues. I also have experience working with people who are LGBTQ and who are also struggling with these issues.

I strive to be a compassionate and supportive therapist for my clients, so they can fully benefit from therapy. I view therapy as a collaborative relationship where we work together to work through your goals. When feeling intense emotions you should never feel alone, and I use my skills as a therapist to help you feel motivated and strengthened. I use an eclectic approach to therapy, which means that I will gear my therapy style toward what will help and benefit you most. This allows me to focus therapy to help you accomplish your goals head on.

You have taken the first steps toward healing, which takes great courage. I would love to continue this journey with you to unlock your strength and hope. I look forward to working with you.

I think she is great, she respects me and doesn't push me too much. I feel like I can really talk to her about stuff and I know she will give me tools to help deal with how I am feeling

Katrina has been a very understanding expert who allows me to break down my issues piece by piece and focus, instead of feeling overwhelmed constantly. She's more patient than I deserved.

Katrina is a lovely person and counselor. She has helped me through some very tough times lately. She is a great counselor. I do not know how I would feel today if I never went through with my counseling sessions with her.
