About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) working as an individual, couples, and family therapist in central Illinois. I want to thank you for taking the first step down the path of growth. My main focus is to help you develop more strength and find hope in your current situation. My treatment approach includes a strengths-based personal centered point of view. I focus on meeting my client where they are at. I am never here to judge, but only to understand. I will advise only when asked to. My goal is to help you become a better version of yourself.

I obtained my Master's degree in Counseling Psychology with a specialty in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have worked within a hospital setting, community mental health center, foster care agency, and within corrections. Working in these settings has allowed me to hone my counseling skills in treating a wide range of diagnoses. My time spent within a community mental health and foster care agency was dedicated towards families, couples, and individuals who presented with mood disorder diagnoses. On the other hand, while working within a hospital and corrections setting exposed me to more severe diagnoses like schizophrenia and personality disorders. That's how you know that I have the experience needed to help you in the best way that I can.

Kayla and I worked together for a few months. She was warm, kind, understanding, and encouraging. She helped me find confidence that was sorely lacking and she encouraged me to take steps to better myself and my life.
