About me

I have been a therapist for 7 years, working with individuals, couples, and families. In my work I use nontraditional methods (if desired) such as aromatherapy, deep breathing, mindfulness and meditation. Most of my work is very active and I provide tools to be used when not in session.
As many of you have struggled with life's issues; I have my own experiences that have led me to this field. I am a naturally compassionate and empathetic individual who wants to assist in seeing each person I work with live their best and most fulfilling lives.
My initial approach to working with clients is to develop a trusting therapeutic relationship. I want you to feel confident that I can help you achieve the goals that we set based upon your desires. I take a person-centered approach to goal setting, and from there my “marching orders” are to work with you using evidence based therapeutic strategies to reach those goals.
My desire is to use several different therapeutic methods to assist you. My perspective is that I work for you; therefore you determine the way we communicate, when, and how often. I believe that clients do not only have problems when we are scheduled to meet; I have a very flexible “open door” policy. I encourage clients who are struggling to feel comfortable reaching out to me.

I look forward to working with you!

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Keisha Martin. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Keisha has helped me in more ways than one. She is kind, understanding, a great listener and always knows when to step in to give advice. She is authentic and honest and she asks questions to get you to really pause and think about the processes going on in your life. Her strategies and exercises are different to any therapist I have had before and they are always engaging and useful. I would recommend Keisha to anyone.
