About me

I have been in practice for over 12 years and have experience working with a diverse client population in a variety of settings including community based agencies, inpatient care, private practice and a college counseling center. My primary areas of interest are working with clients with sexual abuse trauma, anxiety, family of origin/relational difficulties, grief and loss, anger, depression and low self-esteem.

I believe issues stem from childhood, including relationships with ones parents, and like to explore childhood and family history. I also believe we internalize unhealthy core beliefs about ourselves, others and our world. I strive to challenge and replace unhealthy beliefs and help clients resolve childhood trauma that contribute to difficulties.

The relationship between the therapist and client is an important part of the healing process. I seek to provide a space where the client feels accepted, supported and validated, and a nonjudgmental environment.
