Keith Boudreaux, LPC
About me
I believe strongly in the resiliency of the human spirit and, as a therapist, I look for ways to build upon the unique strengths each person or couple brings into the counseling office. It is essential that clients feel accepted and understood and begin to experience freedom from guilt and shame. Guilt is resolved through forgiveness and shame through self-acceptance. I always feel humbled by the courage my clients exhibit as they share their deepest struggles and honored for the trust they give to me.
For several years I worked as a therapist in a psychiatric hospital in Houston gaining thousands of hours of experience in counseling individuals, families, and groups. Therefore, I am very familiar with the problems of depression, anxiety, chemical dependency, and mood problems such as bipolar disorder.
I have completed Level 3 of the Gottman method in couples therapy and have found it to be an excellent approach in fostering that emotional connection which is essential to a satisfying and loving relationship.
