About Me

Hi, I’m Keli Hemingway, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Master Clinical Hypnotherapist. I am licensed to provide psychotherapy services to individuals who reside in Texas. I believe that the human connection between therapist and client is essential, and for that reason, I prefer video sessions. If you are not comfortable with video sessions, we can certainly do a live chat or phone call. You will likely benefit more from the therapeutic process with video sessions.

I have been a seeker of knowledge in improving our human condition since I was a small child. It is the only thing I have ever wanted to do. I believe this kind of work is my calling. I decided to pursue my education to fulfill my life purpose to help people transform their lives. I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work. I have over thirty years of experience and have worked in behavioral health hospitals, prisons, juvenile detention centers, community-based outpatient treatment centers, emergency departments, medical hospitals, psychiatric emergency services, substance abuse/detox centers, behavioral health insurance, and private practice.

I am trained in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Integrative Eye Movement Therapy ™, Neurolinguistic Programming, Mindfulness-Based Therapies, Interpersonal Therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique, Hypnotherapy/Hypnoanalysis, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy as well as many other forms of therapy.

I have over twenty-five years of experience helping people achieve their goals and improve their lives using traditional psychotherapy and/or clinical hypnosis. I have worked with adults, adolescents, and children. In the area of hypnotherapy, I have successfully performed over 15,000 clinical hypnosis sessions. I am also trained in using “food as medicine” to heal the body and brain/mind.

I approach every client as a remarkable individual with different preferences to therapeutic intervention styles. I will find out what your preferences are and work within your comfort level. We can move as slowly or quickly in the process as you desire. Some people are interested in clinical hypnosis, and others are not. I respect your choice and will never pressure you to try an intervention you don’t desire. Clinical hypnosis does yield much more powerful, quick, and definitive results than traditional psychotherapy, but it doesn’t mean that it’s for everyone.

When it comes to our professional relationship, I consider myself honored that you are allowing me to help you have a better life. I believe it is important that we work as a team and establish clear goals at the onset of treatment for the positive changes in your life that you desire. We may decide to alter these goals as we work together. To ensure that you achieve your established therapy goals (psychotherapy and/or clinical hypnosis), I will constantly reassess your progress and tweak your treatment with your approval. We are in this together, and we will have a collaborative relationship.

Written by H.A. on Apr 06, 2021 after counseling with Keli for 3 weeks on issues concerning addictions

Keli provided me with professional advise that allowed me to think deeper about my issue. She encouraged me not to shy away from expressing myself so that she can have a better understanding of my problem and to then offer a solution.

Keli is a great therapist and very easy to talk to. Her hypnosis approach helped me to overcome an issue I have been dealing with for quite some time.
