About me

Growing up in Michigan, I have learned to love nature and outdoor activities, especially camping and hiking. I received my Bachelor of Arts from Alma College where I studied Psychology, played Womens Soccer, and studied abroad in Scotland and Peru. In 2011 I earned my Masters in Professional Counseling from Central Michigan University and have worked at several places including Community Mental Health and Michigan State University.
I focus my practice on working with those struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship concerns and the day to day struggles with life changes. I also work with current or former athletes facing pressures, burn out, performance anxiety, injury and transition out of sport.
I like to use a tailored approach that is client centered, strengths based, trauma-informed, holistic, intersectional, and empowering. I will use several modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Self-compassion, strength-based, empowerment and person-centered interventions.
If we work together, I promise to provide a safe space for you to receive the support you need.
