About Me

I am a licensed Professional Counselor, earning my degree in 2012 at Portland State University, in Portland, Oregon. I specialize in clinical mental health counseling and was part of a pilot project at a medical center that provided integrated, holistic mental and physical health care. I believe that the mind and body are intertwined and both effect one another to a great degree. I love working with people experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, health issues and transition in their lives. I also like to focus on wellness and positive self-care.

I currently work in private practice in Lake Oswego, Oregon, about 10 miles south of Portland. I specialize in both individual and couples counseling. I love helping people find their strength, their voice, and quieting their inner critic.

My approach to therapy and treatment is integrative and can vary from client to client. I like to utilize positive psychology to find areas of strengths. I do draw heavily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, positive psychology, and the person centered approach. I participate in ongoing education and love learning about new therapeutic techniques and models.

My ultimate goal is to help others find their strengths and I am excited as a clinician to participate in this electronic therapy platform!

I often feel like it's hard to find people who "get me" or really hear what I'm saying and I really feel like Kellie does. She often says things that are exactly what I needed to hear to feel heard and validated. It's so nice to feel supported.

Kellie is brave, kind and stubborn enough to keep circling until she finds an entry point. She listens, and keeps attracting you to bring it out of yourself. Very competent indeed, and I am very grateful for her.

I've been to counselors and group therapy for years, and at first wasn't certain about using a service like BetterHelp. But I'm incredibly grateful to have the support for Kellie over the past year, during a tough emotional time in my life. She is very compassionate, patient, and easy to open up to. Her advice rings true, and is skilled at helping others coping with trauma/abuse and grief.

Kellie was lovely in the short week I worked with her. Her compassion almost instantly made me feel better, and her professional thoughts helped me understand what is going on with me a little bit better. I would absolutely recommend her - she made my first experience with BetterHelp a very positive one.

I worked with Kellie since about 2-3 months back during a very tough period of time in my life, after trying all I could to make myself feel better, I was still stuck. She's always been there to listen, always checking on me even when I don't write much. I've actually tried another online therapy before this and had always needed to wait for a response, with only 1 reply per day, while I was pleasantly surprised with how quickly Kellie replied me at that period, providing me the exact support and company I needed, that made me feel like she truly cared and I wasn't alone. She's been an amazing and tremendous help and I'd be sure to come back whenever I need :)

I am canceling my subscription for now as Kellie was tremendously helpful in getting me "unstuck"! I am doing great now and am so grateful to your service for being so accessible and available with excellent help! The next time I need help I will be right back in touch!
