About me

Hello and welcome! First and foremost I want to express my level of acknowledgement as you are taking the first steps to contact someone and reach out for assistance in whatever you are currently experiencing in your life. What a great opportunity to invest in yourself and your personal areas of need.

My name is Kelly and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Tennessee and a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina. I began my career in Baltimore, Maryland at Towson University. I graduated with an undergrad in Sports Psychology and Psychology. I then went on to pursue my Masters in Counseling Psychology. I began working in the Mental Health field with Individuals with Developmental Disabilities. I then spent a numbers of years working with children (age’s birth - 21) and their families who were involved in the Child Welfare System. I conducted Family Therapy so that the children could reunify with their birth families. I have worked in Foster Care for over 11 years. I also spent some time working in a Residential Treatment Facility for adolescent’s males/females and assisted with domestic and international adoptions. In my current professional career I am the Director of a Foster Care agency as well as I continue to provide individual and family therapy for children and families that we serve.

I understand that each individual is not defined by their circumstances. I believe in client centered approached and encourage transparency and feedback. My intentional is to meet each individual client where they are as no two individuals are the same. I have has the privilege of learning several different evidence based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trust Based Relational Intervention, and Trauma Focus- CBT. In combination with these I also use: Crisis Intervention, Mindfulness, Grounding, Psycho-education, Solution-Focused Therapy.

My passion lies in the process and allowing the individual/couple/family to come to a better more functioning level of understanding of self so that they no longer feel limited or confined by concerns and can pursue the life in which they envision. Thank you for taking the first steps to acknowledgement in order to received support and assistance to a better YOU! I look forward to the journey..."the story is in your hands... get to writing"
