Kelly Clarke


About Me


I am a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), licensed by the state of Texas and based in San Antonio. I have experience working with adults, families, couples, children and adolescents (ages 5-17) since 2016. I received a Bachelor in Psychology degree from the University of Denver in 2013 and in 2017 I graduated with a Master in Psychology degree from Our Lady of the Lake University. During my master's program, I worked at a sliding scale counseling clinic, at a middle school, a transitional care clinic and at a Rape Crisis Center. More recently, I have gained experience in both residential and outpatient settings with clients experiencing (or suffering from) depression, anxiety, trauma, substance abuse, addiction and/or relationship issues. I also have experience with those struggling with anger management, self-esteem, LGBTQIA issues, PTSD and other mental health diagnoses such as Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder.

As every client is an individual with different circumstances and needs, my approach to treatment is first and foremost client-centered, which means it’s all about you! We will work together collaboratively to help you achieve your goals. I have experience with a wide range of treatment modalities including, Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Art Therapy. I believe that each client is unique therefore I will tailor my approach to best fit your needs.

Kelly is very professional and kind. She truly listens and works with you to find ways to overcome issues and solve problems. She makes sure she is available as best she can be for you and any time of the day. There is an ease of conversation and trust and I have never once felt judged, only supported.

Coming back to therapy was a difficult choice. Kelly made me feel brave for doing what I needed for me. I can already see progress in the making.

Kelly is great. I’ve only had a few video sessions with her but I feel like I’ve known her for a long time. She listens to me and provides excellent ideas to help me work through my problems. She’s very nice, personable, and a great counselor. I would recommend her to anyone, especially young women like myself.

I’ve been with Kelly going on 3 weeks now. What I’ve been able to share with her has been a major relief for me. Most importantly, her feedback to it all is groundbreaking for me. There’s direction in our conversation. When I get lost into my words- she reels me back in. To have her offer me professional feedback, professional as in- she puts things in a psychological perspective, reconfirming to me why I’m doing whatever it maybe, as opposed to just have a friend listening, has given me hope and promise in me and my kids’ future for a mentally healthier me. In a little over 2 weeks I’m finally feeling like there’s nothing wrong with me. Or that there wasn’t ever anything wrong with me- THIS is what’s been going on kinda thing. Talking with Kelly has made a difference in my Universe. I’m so grateful for her.
