About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in North Carolina with over 5 years of direct experience working with adults, adolescents, children, and their caregivers (parents, grandparents, foster care givers) on a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, family conflicts, child behavior issues, parenting and parenthood, life transitions, grief, self-esteem, motivation, self-love, boundary setting, and generally feeling stuck. I have additional training in Multi-Systemic Therapy (MST) and Trauma Systems Therapy (TST).

I offer engaging, supportive, and warm counseling to help people rejuvenate their damaged or severed ties with others or with themselves, and to help enable my clients to reconnect more fully with their lives. I firmly believe that people change and heal by recognizing and disrupting patterns that no longer fit them. Just as every person has their own unique story and place in the world, I respect that every person’s therapy journey will look and feel different. During our early sessions, we will work together to better understand your situation and your reasons for seeking help. We will determine tangible and realistic goals to tackle your current issues. My approach is person-centered, holistic, and solution-focused, and I will use various techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy and mindfulness in order to provide you with the care and counseling that will best help you to stay rooted in your goals.

Taking the first step toward change is incredibly brave, and I look forward to traveling with you on this journey toward greater insight and fulfillment in life.

I love Kelly! My first therapist moved and I tried starting over with so many people in all different kinds of ways. Kelly has been amazing since day one! She is professional but not so professional that she is not relatable or friendly. She is also not blocked into only one way of doing things. She is perfect! I can not recommend her enough
