About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in various settings. I have developed the skill set and expertise of working many areas under the umbrella of mental health management such as: depression, anxiety, family relationships/conflict, parenting, abuse/neglect, and life transitions. I have had substantial success with providing counseling to victims of domestic violence.

My goal as a therapist is to make you feel comfortable, tap into your personal essence, and empower you through the process. I find passion in being able to connect with clients on a level defined by them, allowing me to delve deep into their problems/concerns, and help to provide well-suited solutions. My counseling style is compassionate, warm, empathetic, results-oriented, non-judgmental, and behaviorally focused. Ensuring that clients develop a stronger healthier sense of self, gain a sense of meaning in life, recognize problems, understand triggers, and modify their behaviors is my primary focus with every client. Moreover, my experiences has enhanced my therapy applications in various domains of Cognitive Behavioral, Rational-Emotive, and Humanistic (Person-Centered, Solution Focus Brief Therapy) that focuses on the individual’s strengths. I will incorporate a variety of therapeutic principles to meet your specific needs.

It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling life and to take the first steps towards a change. Sometimes the smallest step in the right direction ends up being the biggest step of your life. Kelly is a fantastic therapist. She hears and understands my concerns and has given me new ways to think about my experiences. Kelly has also been providing ways I can take action to ensure that I become even more capable of understanding and managing motives and expectations regarding my current situation as a caretaker for my parents. I really appreciate her insight.
