Kelly Muratorri

LMHC, LPC

About Me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the states of Oregon and Texas, and a Licensed Mental Health Provider (LMHP) in the state of Iowa. I have four years of experience with in-person and virtual individual, couples, and group counseling. I'm a Navy veteran and I'm married to a Coast Guard veteran. We have an amazing son who has autism, and I am blessed to be able to homeschool him.

I am pursuing a Doctorate in Community Care and Counseling with a specialization in trauma from Liberty University. I earned my MS in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University in 2019 and my initial LPC license in Texas in 2021. I also hold an MEd in Curriculum & Instruction from Concordia University.

I have extensive training and experience in trauma-informed treatment. Most of my experience has been with combat veterans and first responders with complex posttraumatic stress. I utilize a variety of therapy approaches incorporating techniques to individualize treatment. Primary modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Self-awareness is key to healing, so my practice is client-centered. These approaches will provide you with methods to solve problems utilizing your own strengths. Other approaches may be used to help facilitate your progress. I do not work with paraphilic disorders.

I believe it is essential to build trusting relationships with clients. I've had an array of life experiences that have shaped me into the person I am today. These experiences, both positive and negative, help me connect with others in a unique way. My primary goal is to help others evoke their own strengths and resources to heal and make positive changes in their lives.

I am available Thursday through Tuesday from 3:00am-8:00am PST (5:00am-10:00am CST), and Fridays from 1:30pm-5:00pm PST (3:30pm-7:00pm CST). Of course, with this platform, you can send a message at any time. I'm not physically available 24/7, however, I do respond to messages at least once per day.

Kelly really helped me with my anxiety and how to have healthier coping mechanisms. She taught me how to open up and be able to talk about my feelings in a safe manner. She listened to what I had to say and was very attentive. She remembered things from past sessions and answered relatively quickly. Her worksheets helped me a lot. I really recommend her.

Kelly has unconventional hours, but she offers multiple forms of contact. She has a wide range of experience and really listens to you. She also provides different assignments for your individual situation that is optional to complete. I really appreciate how committed she is with helping me.

Kelly is a lovely therapist who is incredibly supportive and non judgemental. She worked hard our first session to understand my needs and ensure I had a safe space with her to discuss my journey. I’ve been to a lot of therapists where this was not their primary goal, and therefore I was unable to make much progress. In just a couple sessions I already feel incredibly supported, which makes the healing that much more approachable.
