About me
Hello! I'm a counselor/mental health provider in the states of Iowa, Oregon, and Texas. I have four years of experience in the counseling field. I'm a Navy veteran and I'm married to a Coast Guard veteran. We have an amazing son who has autism, and I am blessed to be able to homeschool him.
I am working on my Doctorate in Counseling with a trauma specialization from Liberty University. I earned my MS in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University in 2019. I also have a MEd in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University.
I have extensive training and experience in trauma-informed treatment. Most of my experience has been with combat veterans, first responders, and individuals with complex posttraumatic stress. I utilize a variety of therapy approaches incorporating techniques to individualize treatment, but the primary modalities I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Self-awareness is key to healing, so my practice is client-centered. These approaches will provide you with methods to solve problems utilizing your own strengths. Other approaches may be used to help facilitate your progress. I do not work with paraphilic disorders.
I believe it is essential to build trusting relationships with clients. I've had an array of life experiences that have shaped me into the person I am today. These positive and negative experiences help me connect with others in a unique way. My primary goal is to help others evoke their own strengths and resources to heal and make positive changes in their lives.
I am currently available for live sessions from 5:00am-9:00am CST (3:00am-7:00am PT). Of course, with this platform, you can send a message at any time. I'm not physically available 24/7, however, I do respond to messages at least once per day.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Kelly Muratorri. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
Kelly is a very compassionate therapist. She is willing to listen and using her expertise to lead me to become more aware of my situations. She had helped me through very hard times and healing the trauma within.
I have never been more comfortable with a therapist before. Kelly is awesome.
Kelly is a good listener. She offers options and homework if you’re open to it. She sends be helpful articles too
Kelly is a very sweet and caring individual that truly cares about her clients. I am very pleased with the progress I have made with Kelly and appreciate the thoughtfulness and concern she has showed for me. Kelly’s willingness to work with my schedule and make appointments work out for both of us is wonderful!
Kelly was there for me at one of the most difficult times of my life, and when my usual therapist was on a month-long vacation. She stepped right in, really listening while offering compassion, expertise, and practical solutions to what I was going through. I don't know what I would have done without her. If I ever lose my regular therapist, I would turn to Kelly in a heartbeat -- she's that good!
Great session
Kelly’s compassion can be felt through the phone. I’ve been so grateful to have been matched with her when I did because she’s literally been an answer to my prayers. Sometimes therapists leave Better Help and move on and while I’m happy they do, it left me in a rough spot of trying to find someone else who could help me continue my healing journey. Kelly has been able to offer me solid, practical tools and steps and helps me process in a way that I’ve always felt a counselor should but have never received quite like the way she does it and I’m so thankful for that!!!
She was an attentive and respectful listener. She offered great advice and a therapy I had not thought of or been told about previously. She was empathetic and sympathetic, she was professional, and she’s extremely flexible with her availability.
Kelly has been very helpful to me and always attentive to my concerns.
Kelly has be tremendously helpful in the short time I’ve been working with her. I’m happy to have her as my therapist.
Although we are just starting, I feel extremely comfortable and appreciate her knowledge and understanding of my situation.
Kelly is the best!
Kelly really helped me with my anxiety and how to have healthier coping mechanisms. She taught me how to open up and be able to talk about my feelings in a safe manner. She listened to what I had to say and was very attentive. She remembered things from past sessions and answered relatively quickly. Her worksheets helped me a lot. I really recommend her.
Kelly is very professional and a good listener. She helps you focus on the main issues and addresses your concerns. She answers promptly and is very encouraging. Highly recommend.
I worked with Kelly for a few weeks as I dealt with some acute anxiety and she helped me immensely by providing worksheets and being a kind listener. She really remembers what you’ve said at each session so it’s like talking to a good friend. Thank you for your help in a very difficult time!
Kelly has unconventional hours, but she offers multiple forms of contact. She has a wide range of experience and really listens to you. She also provides different assignments for your individual situation that is optional to complete. I really appreciate how committed she is with helping me.
Kelly is everything I would hope to find in a therapist… great listener, empathetic, ready with helpful resources and quick responses to my questions/requests… BetterHelp is lucky to have her.
Mrs. Mira torro has been my therapist for while now and she has been great. She listens well and is very understanding.
Kelly took the time to really listen to me and helped me pinpoint goals when I didn’t know how to.
From the beginning of working with Kelly she has been incredible. She truly listens and always seems to know the balance between digging deeper and when to pull back. She's extremely knowledgeable about different approaches to therapy and when to apply them. I would recommend her to anyone!
Kelly is a godsend she truly understands the battle that is mental health and the daily struggles that we deal with as humans she is a special person in my life now and I can’t imagine having anybody else as my counselor she’s incredible knowledgeable and will always reach out she doesn’t wait for me she will check on me and makes me feel seen her and loved I am so appreciative of her
Kelly has been really great. She was able to identify where I was struggling mentally and emotionally and offer tools for my healing and growth. She listens and was empathetic, she is responsive and knowledgeable. I appreciate all of her help and I would highly recommend her to others struggling thru the issues I'm dealing with!
Kell is great. Always checking in on me throughout the week before our session and listened toe all the time during our session.
Kelly is a lovely therapist who is incredibly supportive and non judgemental. She worked hard our first session to understand my needs and ensure I had a safe space with her to discuss my journey. I’ve been to a lot of therapists where this was not their primary goal, and therefore I was unable to make much progress. In just a couple sessions I already feel incredibly supported, which makes the healing that much more approachable.
