About me
**I am available in the afternoons from 1-6pm to do video calls, phone calls, and live chat sessions. However, those will need to be scheduled on my end.**
I am a NJ Licensed Professional Counselor and a NJ Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I am also a Masters Certified Addictions Professional in Florida. I have over 15 years experience working with those struggling with addictions, co-occurring disorders, mental health disorders/symptoms, and life changes. I have worked in private practice, outpatient, inpatient, IIC, and detox settings in the role of either a clinician, team leader, or clinical supervisor.
I understand that there is no simple approach that is right for everyone and has specialized in utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered Therapy, and an Integrative Approach when working with various symptoms and concerns.
I was a Division I swimmer while an undergraduate and have spent time working with children ages 6-18 as a swim coach for a JCC and now for the local YMCA. During my time as an athlete and coach I have learned the importance of perseverance, positive reinforcement, and patience. I have been able to take those lessons and experiences, and apply it to encouraging my clients to become to best versions of themselves, even when it seems impossible. However, sometimes we just need a little help and guidance to get there, and I want to be that person to provide that assistance.
