About Me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and aLicensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I have been working in the field of addictions for over 10 years when she began working with the IDRC and then moved on to gaining experience working in outpatient, inpatient, IIC, and detox settings. I understand that there is no simple approach that is right for everyone and has specialized in utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered Therapy, and an Integrative Approach when working with addictions and co-occurring populations. I was a Division I swimmer while an undergraduate and have spent time working with children ages 6-18 as a swim coach for a JCC. During my time as an athlete and coach I have learned the importance of perseverance, positive reinforcement, and patience. I have been able to take those lessons and experiences, and apply it to encouraging my clients to become to best versions of themselves, even when it seems impossible.
