Hello! My name is Kendra DeLoof. I am a clinically licensed therapist (LCSW) who specializes in trauma-informed and client-centered treatment. I have been a practicing clinician for over 7 years where I have assisted individuals in navigating the complexities of the human experience. Life can be difficult, but meaningful when we are given proper tools to navigate it. Many of us have not been taught effective ways to manage stress or engage in relationships (both with ourselves and others). Some of us have experienced trauma or are stuck in feelings of shame that prevent us from moving forward. Here you will find non-judgmental support for tapping into your personal power and taking steps to get what you really want out of life!
Emotions and negative experiences often feel unsafe to process. We look for distraction, numbing, or even compulsive control in order to avoid ourselves because this feels safer than going inward. This is a normal response of body/brain functioning that works to protect ourselves from the effects of everyday stress. Yet, unprocessed emotion can create negative reactions like addiction, self-destructive decision making, and even physical illness. I will provide information on cutting-edge neurobiology and somatic treatment methods to hijack body and brain functioning to work for your benefit. I will de-stigmatize ways that you may have responded to trauma and support you as you learn to provide yourself compassion with how you've approached situations in the past. We then will use tools within treatment that feel healthy and authentic to who you are. These tools will support you in meeting your personal goals.
I do not approach therapy as a hierarchical relationship. I treat all clients as experts of their own personal experiences. I act as a partner with you in this journey and base all of our activities in treatment off of your stated goals. If you aren't yet sure of what your goals are for therapy- that is ok! We will explore that together. I look forward to getting to know you and am excited to provide support in this important step that you are taking for yourself!

Kendra is great. New to the process she walked me through had patience and has been able to make a true difference in the way I think about and approach things. She is someone I can count on to be honest and truthful with me. And I’ve become comfortable enough to discuss any and all situations with her.
Kendra is a godsend. She's so incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and kind. She's really invested in helping you figure out what's going on in your mind and your body as well as helping you on a journey to healing. If you're thinking about booking her- DO IT. You will be so glad you did.
Kendra has been such a wonderful therapist I’ve had the pleasure of working with. Her approach to therapy is amazing, she is extremely accommodating and moves at the pace and in the direction you desire. She is also very insightful on every topic we discussed and really helped me to re-wire my thoughts and become the best version of myself! Thank you so much Kendra! :)
After just three sessions, I couldn't be more grateful to have been paired with Kendra. From the first meeting, I was so impressed with her ability to jump into a complex situation and reflect the nuance of my experience back to me. She demonstrates such natural insight and makes me feel that I have an advocate in my hardships. She helps me determine the source of difficult emotions, validates my feelings with intention and warmth, and uncannily points to the things I know are true but haven't been able to name yet. I felt at ease with her right away, which helped me get the most of my time from the beginning. I'm thankful and I'm looking forward to future sessions!
