About Me

Kenya Turner is a therapist specializing in individual, couples and family therapy in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Mental Health Therapist, Speaker, Poet and Reiki Healer. I am married with two children, I earned my MSW from the University of Oklahoma. I have worked with diverse clients women, men, children and families of all ages and backgrounds, experiencing a range of issues depression, anxiety, ADHD, borderline personality disorder, relationship issues, trauma, parenting skills, grief/loss, work and career transition, stress management, conflict resolution, social skills, separation/divorce, self-esteem/self worth, blending families, LBGT, life transitions, goal setting and so much more. I have gained this experience across varies settings, including in home setting, out patient and school setting.

My theoretical orientation is primarily cognitive-behavioral, cognitive processing, solution-focused, holistic, person-centered techniques. This is done by providing and utilizing the most appropriate interventions to yield optimum results to best serve you.

One of my missions in life is to help others recognize who they are and the gifts they have. To not let past hurts and mistakes hinder you. Scars are just a testimony that you made it through. You may be going through something in your life, its just a chapter in your book not the whole story! I am not a traditional therapist, which means that I believe that each individual and their situation is different. I think outside of the box, and identify what will work for you.
