Kiler Wilson

About Me

Hi and welcome to BetterHelp! I know it takes a lot of courage to seek help and I am glad that you made this step. My name is Kiler Wilson, I'm a licensed professional counselor (LPC) through the state of Pennsylvania. I have worked with children, adolescents, adults and families for 8 years and have been a licensed therapist for two years. My experience includes working with individuals with anxiety, ADHD, OCD, depression, bipolar disorder, relationship issues, career challenges, family and parenting problems. I also have experience working with individuals on improving their self-esteem, stress and anger management. I have worked in many different settings, from working in foster care, to a partial hospitalization program, to school-based therapy to a medical facility and currently working full-time at a private practice.

When working with clients, I take a humanistic approach and tend to be validating and empathetic, while helping the client find and work through their goals collaboratively. I believe everyone should be treated with respect and compassion. Most often, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Solution-Focused Therapy, as well as Motivational Interviewing Techniques.

If you are ready to take the first step to a more joyful and fulfilling life, I am here to support and empower you!

I look forward to our work together!

Written by T.H. on Oct 08, 2019 after counseling with Kiler for 2 months on issues concerning depression, stress, anxiety, lgbt, family conflicts, sleeping disorders, parenting issues, self esteem, career difficulties, and compassion fatigue

Kiler has continued to be approachable and friendly, whilst maintaining a professional manner. She helps me understand parts of my thinking and is great with discussing issues. It's lovely to be able to have a funny or serious conversation, depending on what I need at the time. Really lovely therapist.
