About Me

I am an individual and family counselor licensed in the State of Wisconsin and Illinois. Over the past 15 years, I have been counseling adoptive parents and adoptees who have faced challenges in their relationships and have a specialty in working to preserve these relationships by conducting family therapy in post adoptions program. Issues related to early trauma and the effects on the developing mind has been a significant part of my practice when working with adoptive parents and their children, as well as helping adoptees manage adoption issues as adults. I have training in Theraplay, Developmental Dyadic Psychotherapy approaches, Trust-Based Relational Intervention with Karyn Purvis, and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and especially enjoy working with young adults.
My counseling style is comfortable and accepting of the issues brought to me. I will commit to helping you address the goals you decide upon, and together we will explore issues that might be keeping you or your relationships from moving forward.
Those of you (adoptive parents and adoptees) who have struggles with adoption issues, I would be especially pleased to work with you!
