Kimberly "Kim" Johnson, LCPC
About me
Hello! I'm Kim , and I am a counselor licensed in Idaho, USA. I have been a counselor for nearly 20 years - working in several capacities over that time. I have experience working with many people struggling with what life sometimes has to offer - whether it be grief, divorce, trauma, depression, anxiety or other tough life stuff. I tend to have a very client centered approach, meaning that I have faith in the fact that my clients know what they need to be better - they just need help exploring and identifying those needs. I also use elements of cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR, existential and ACT therapies. I usually try and keep things flexible to be able to meet the varied needs of the people with whom I get to work.
It takes a lot of courage to seek counseling during a time that is likely very emotional and during a time when one can feel most vulnerable - and I am not just saying this. I believe that all good counselors have been to counseling themselves - and that is true for me. I know what it takes to seek support to better one's life... and I would love to join you as you start your journey.
Thanks for giving my profile a chance. I look forward to working with you.

Kim is the best therapist I could ask for! She helps me find confidence and strength to set boundaries. She also validates my feelings and helps me challenge bad habits or patterns I’ve developed. I can’t recommend her enough. She provides a safe space (even through the internet) for me to discuss all aspects of my life.

Kim has been tremendously helpful as I navigate the most challenging year of my life. She listens carefully and offers helpful guidance. Having her there, as I work on current and deep rooted issues, has been significant. The amount of personal growth and focus I’ve experienced with Kim has been life changing; I’m overwhelmingly grateful to have her support.
