Hi there! I'm so happy that you've taken the first step and reached out. My name is Kim Foskett and I'm a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in CA and ME. I know from personal experience that reaching out for help can be scary. It's certainly challenging for many of us to be vulnerable, especially with someone new. The process of uncovering and discovering takes courage. My commitment to you is that I will always meet you with compassion, transparency and an overflowing toolbox from 23 years of clinical experience.
Since graduating in 1998 with my Master's degree in Counseling from Boston College, I've had the honor of supporting people of all ages through some of their toughest times. I specialize in supporting people through depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties and life changes like job loss and divorce. I believe whole heartedly in the possibility of growth and change. You will be in the driver's seat and I'll be by your side supporting you as your guide. I will help you highlight your strengths and find the answers that lie within you. Whenever possible I will utilize evidence-based or supported models, such as Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive and Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, etc. to support you in reaching your goals. I'll also throw in a healthy dose of humor and laughter along the way. Who says therapy can't be fun at times!
If you choose to work with me, I will offer a safe space and my knowledge, skills and techniques to help you work through your life difficulties. Ready to get started?
"Authenticity is a collection of choices that we have to make every day. It's about the choice to show up and be real. The choice to be honest. The choice to let our true selves be seen." Brene Brown

My first visit has been amazing! I am so happy to have found Kimberly! Her expertise and kindness is exactly what I was looking for in a counselor!
Kimberly is wonderful! Non-judgmental, down to earth, open, easy to talk to, with really great insight. She's really been helping me.
I had such an amazing experience with Kim. She's patient, compassionate, and accessible. This was my first experience with counseling, and though I'm usually a person with many walls up, I felt as if I could be my authentic self during our sessions.
It’s indescribable how important kim has been in transforming my life. With her deep knowledge of trauma and her experience with EMDR she has helped me realize the strength, awareness, and tools I have within me to do the hard work and step towards my happiness and healing. I have been experiencing my life thru a hardened lens of old wounds of fear and feeling so unworthy of anything good and I never knew there was a different way to live life until I started with Kim. I am so thankful for her .. it’s a long road ahead to healing and happiness but I feel so hopeful.
Kim has been the reason for my life having new meaning and purpose and has helped me reinvent myself. She is soo supportive and truly cares about her clients. I will forever be endebted for her knowledge that has helped to reshape and appreciate who I am. Thank you Kim. I am beyond grateful for your time and dedication.
Kimberly was very helpful to me dealing with anxiety related to multiple major life changes. She's articulate, smart, compassionate, friendly, and easy to talk to. Highly recommend.
Kimberly is a breath of fresh air! She is kind, compassionate, and so helpful. Im enjoying my time with her.
I’ve been working with Kimberly for a few weeks now, I look forward to our video chats. So far she’s helped me be better equipped to handle anxiety and stress. I would highly recommend her to friends and family.
Kim is receptive of my dialogue, and is very patient.
I appreciate her responses in feedback.
I've been in and out of therapy since a young age and I can say with absolute certainty that Kim is the best therapist I have ever had. She is incredibly kind, understanding and easy to talk to while also being incredibly knowledgeable and intuitive. I know I'm in good hands with her, which feels amazing after so many average to disappointing therapists in the past. I truly cannot recommend her highly enough.
Kim is thoughtful in her responses and really listens to my needs. She goes into the session open-minded without trying to push an agenda but actually listening to what is relevant and important to me at the time, then making suggestions and giving insights based on that. She's intuitive and intelligent, it's clear she knows what she's doing!
