Hi. I'm a Florida-based Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with over 12 years experience. I've worked with adolescents to older adults, victim's of crime to inmates, people with one diagnosis to those with co-occurring disorders, in the outpatient and inpatient setting, with individuals and groups. I spent several years as a rape crisis and trauma recovery therapist at a local Community Mental Health Center; so most of my experience has been in the non-profit arena.
I enjoy working with all different kinds of people and problems so my treatment approach reflects that. I use an eclectic variety of theories to help people. I enjoy challenging clients to challenge themselves, to learn and grow. I find cognitive behavioral therapy to broadly be the most effective approach but sometimes dialectical behavioral therapy or client-centered works best. Sometimes people have what they need to get things worked out and just might need a solid sounding broad; to offer support by just listening & normalizing what they're going through.
Whatever the need may be, my goal is to offer a supportive and safe space to address it. I start by meeting the client where they are and continue by working collaboratively with them to achieve their goals. I strive to empower them, by building on the strengths they already have and providing the skills and tools they may be missing. I enjoy helping people be their whole and authentic self.

Kimberly tells it like it is. Something I really respect in a counselor. She helps me through completed situations with an honesty that can bought. I just really appreciate her:
Great listener and advisor
Kimberly is one of the best people ever met, she's listens, she's understanding, but most importantly she listens and she does not judge. Now does that mean that she's a pushover, she will hold you accountable to certain things that you say and reassure you or reframe things in a correct manner.
But I like her because I can tell that she's genuine and what she's saying, she may sugarcoat it but it's still the truth and that's why I respect the most.
I started talking to a Kimberly at one of the most precarious times in my life. I cannot recommend her strongly enough to those who are working through traumatic events in their lives. Additionally she makes herself available via chat on a very reasonable schedule. I wish I could continue seeing her when I move out of state.
