My name is Kimberly Roe. I have been licensed as a professional counselor since 2008. My education includes a Masters of Counseling from San Francisco State University, with special training in Career/ College Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy. I also have experience as a meditation instructor. From this background, I offer Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (https://www.goodtherapy.org/learn-about-therapy/types/acceptance-commitment-therapy) with a particular focus on mindfulness and stress management.
I am science-minded with a particular interest in neuroscience. I follow the latest research about mood, stress management, and various medical conditions. These findings inform my work. I assist clients in creating healthy habits including a regular exercise routine and a healthy diet and sleep schedule, along with meditation/ mindfulness practice.
This approach allows me to help individuals cope with generalized anxiety, depression, medical problems, and relationship challenges, as well as career and life transitions.
