I'm a clinical social worker, with a background in trauma therapy, and extensive work with anxiety and depression. After my graduation from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, I went on to do family therapy with high risk youth, and learned a great deal that I couldn't learn from a book. I have worked with community mental health agencies and the Federal Government, working with active duty military and our country's Veterans.
I have been a therapist for many years and I have worked with many diverse populations. People struggle with so many different issues, and different times of life. Using different approaches, my focus is to help my patients develop their goals, and objectives to make changes in their lives for the better. I believe that all people have strengths that can be used to change behavior and improve a person's quality of life, even if they don't think so. I don't have magic powers to make people better, but I can help you find the skills and information you need to change your life. If you are ready to work, I'm ready to help.
It is always a honor to work with patients looking to change their lives for the better. It will be an honor to help you on your journey.

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Kimberly Shaw. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
I received self confirmation and support that is allowing me to go forward with a positive and productive perspective.
I started using better help as i was in dire need for therapy after suffering a large amount of berevements over a short amount of time. This was exacerbated by stressful issues with a friend and coworker. I'd not had any therapy for a couple of years and was at a really low ebb.
The help and support Kimberly provided was invaluable. Her compasion, understanding and advice helped me work through a huge amount of pain in a way that was easy for me to deal with and was at a pace i felt happy with. Dealing with her was such a comfortable experience it's like she'd been my therapist for years, it felt almost like i was dealing with my old therapist. Every session felt like i was taking weights out of my mental backpack.
I can't overstate how good she was and would recommend her to anyone looking for a really great therapy.
Also, for any UK people looking to use this service the sessions tend to be later in the day so you can have evening sessions which suit your work schedule with evening sessions. I can't praise Kimberly or this sevice enough.
