Hello, my name is Dr. Kimberly Silla and I am licensed psychologist in both New York and Florida. Over the years, I have worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient mental health settings including hospitals, community mental health clinics, family resource centers, Veterans Affairs medical center, county jail, private practice, and college counseling center. My areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, grief and loss, coping with chronic pain, acute and terminal illness, survivors of sexual abuse, PTSD, relationship issues, life transitions and difficulty with adjustment, adolescent psychology, college students, stress management, caregiver support, and LGBTQ+ and affirming counseling.

I am committed to creating a safe environment in which to explore therapeutic issues. In therapy, I utilizes a variety of evidence-based techniques that are tailored to the unique needs of each patient. Therapy commonly integrates psychodynamic, solution-focused, and cognitive behavioral interventions. I also draw from existential psychology to create a more mindful understanding of life and health.
