About me

Hello! My name is Kit Griffin and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), who has worked as a clinician for approximately 16 years. I worked my way through college taking on various odd jobs to earn a double bachelors in Mass Communication and Psychology from the University of Utah, in Salt Lake City, UT. Shortly thereafter, I attended the Masters of Professional Counseling Program at the the University of Phoenix- UT campus. Over the past 25 years I have been fortunate enough to meet many, many amazing people along my professional journey. First and foremost, I am here to support you along your journey. I may not have all the answers as I truly believe they come from within each and everyone of you who seek guidance. I am a fan of cognitive behavioral therapy, and I am a realist. Each of our thoughts and feelings impacts our behavior and I am here to support you as you work through the thought process. This is about your life, and it is important! Stress, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, intimacy, trauma and abuse, anger management, coping with life changes, eating disorders, career challenges, compassion fatigue, and self care are all areas in which I have counseled clients. For years, I focused on working with adolescent females; which was an incredibly humbling and amazing experience. Please know, you are not alone and we can do this together. I would be honored to have the opportunity to meet you and assist in the next chapter of your life. Thank you.
