Krista Carlson, LCSW
About me
I am a social worker and counselor licensed in Idaho with over 7 years of experience. Living and practicing in a rural community has given me the opportunity to work with individuals, couples, and families on depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, parenting struggles, and much more.
I find that a sense of humor, being myself, and taking genuine interest in others helps with forming connections that can be used to provide a safe place for people to share their stories and continue in their healing process. My approaches as a counselor include a solution-focused, strengths based, cognitive behavioral, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy. I work with the individual wherever they may be along the spectrum of change.
Seeking support and mental health services can be scary and intimidating and I hope to make this process easier on you. Together we can work to help you as an individual find greater strength, healing, and peace.
