I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Washington State. I have over 5 years experience working as a psychotherapist and life coach. And I’ve been working in agency and medical environments with clients since I graduated in 2004. I’m also a Geriatric Mental Health Specialist, meaning that I’ve worked with clients with life issues pertaining to being an older adult. However, I’ve worked with clients of all ages who have unique situations and experiences. My career history has been to help with issues such as: depression and anxiety, coping with life changes, employment and student issues, grief and loss, medical and disability challenges, caregiver stress, relationship difficulties, history of trauma or abuse, and parenting or co-parenting issues. I will always be honest with you about how I can help or what else might be needed for you to progress in your journey toward your goals in treatment.
My counseling style is to be warm and genuine with a focus on your strengths and abilities to improve. We will always work together to support you in moving toward your goals. One of the approaches I use is cognitive-behavioral with a focus on mindfulness. I also believe in being very client-centered and I employ varied integrative techniques depending on what is useful to you. I’m looking forward to meeting together for a first session.
