I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in North Carolina and South Carolina that began my career over 27 years ago. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice and Political Science from Western Michigan University and a Master of Science Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Auburn University. I have thousands of hours of clinical experience with individuals, children, adolescents, couples, and families and have worked in many settings, including schools, courts, hospitals, agencies, and within a family’s home. I have also worked with a vast variety of presenting problems and have worked with people of all races, religions, and sexual orientations. I have a warm and friendly personality and work very collaboratively with clients. I believe that relationships are key to every aspect of our lives and I strive to help people find ways to connect with one another in a healthy and meaningful way. I feel privileged to walk with clients on their therapy journey and believes that a dynamic, empathetic, solution-focused approach is key to finding the path to success.
You are welcome to message me anytime through Better Help. One of the best things about online therapy is the frequency with which you can have access to a counselor to work through any daily issues. This is very different from traditional outpatient counseling and my clients have really found it to be beneficial to them. I usually check messages twice a day, every day of the week. I offer messaging, live chat and phone sessions, primarily during daytime hours, but I do have some limited availability in the evenings and weekends. If you don't see any available slots that work with your schedule, check with me through messaging as it is likely I can open up some space to accommodate you.

Kristi has been great! I can tell that she takes her time and reads through my responses to provide thoughtful insight. I feel that she completely understands my situation and gives me empathetic responses as well as sound prompts to make helpful changes,. We go at my pace which I throughly. She has definitely mastered the ability to make online therapy feel like in office therapy and has been super helpful!
