About me

I am a clinical social worker licensed in Maine and Massachusetts. I am also licensed as a school adjustment counselor/ school social worker in the state of Massachusetts. I have worked with people in many different situations and often during trying times in their lives. My experience is in a variety of settings including traditional office-based as well as hospital-based and community-based settings. I have helped people who have experienced anxiety, depression, mood disorders, relationship challenges, parenting issues, trauma, abuse, and many other concerns. I have learned a great deal in my professional training, but also from the many individuals that I have worked with.

My approach has been described as warm, thoughtful, and direct. I believe it is important to treat everyone as an individual. My style is strengths-based, client-centered, and with an emphasis on goal setting and solution-focused.

We will work together so that you can take steps toward your own personal journey of healing and change. I have extensive training in a variety of treatment approaches and together we will explore the options to uncover what works best for you. It takes a lot of courage to take this first step and to take these steps toward change. I am here to listen and work with you through this journey.

Kristine Catalogna, is a wonderful therapist! I've had a few and have gone to therapy for over 20 years. KC is a thoughtful listener and her input shows connection and understanding of what I have shared. I appreciate her support and experience in our sessions. I am grateful to have been able to have her support in dealing with life's challenges. Thank You Kristine!

Kristine is an incredible therapist. She has gone above and beyond to meet and message with me daily. Kristine has been such an important asset in my life during some very challenging times. I would recommend her to anyone.

Kristine is really amazing. She will provide unconditional support, but also won't hesitate to provide common sense if you've been overthinking. She gives great advice, and responds to messages within a very reasonable time frame (aside from weekends). I feel that I can share anything with her, and even though I may get nervous sometimes about sharing things that I may have done "wrong", she is still very understanding and will help you move towards healthier behaviors in the future, instead of allowing you to get too caught up in guilt. When I'm not feeling great, I almost always leave her sessions feeling much better than I did beforehand, and when I'm in a good mood, I almost always leave her sessions in an even better mood. If you want to move towards being the happiest, healthiest version of yourself, I recommend giving a session or two with her a try!

In just a short time, Kristine has shown me that she actively listens to what I'm saying -- and pays attention to what I'm not saying. Her suggestions have been so helpful, and if she says she's going to send me a resource, she always does it promptly so I can start to apply it as soon as I'm ready. And she has a good heart!

Kristine is extremely knowledgeable and helpful in her approach. She has provided me with worksheets and "homework" that have allowed me the time of reflection that I have needed to tune into what is really going on with me. I enjoy Kristine's ability to reframe situations and offer insights and relatability to my matters at hand. It is obvious that she is well read, well informed and well educated in the industry. I am happy that I have found someone who understands where I am coming from.
