Hello, my name is Kristine. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 25 years of experience working in the mental health field and I truly love what I do! I am dedicated to assisting children, adults, couples and families in their efforts to address past and current challenges, utilize their intrinsic strengths and resources and create happy, fulfilling relationships and lives.
My therapeutic style is warm, open, forthright, honest and supportive providing for the opportunity to form a trusting, collaborative relationship in which clients feel respected, safe, secure, and able to consider new perspectives necessary to achieve a more balanced and fulfilling life. I integrate various treatment approaches in a safe, comfortable, confidential environment where clients can realize personal strengths, heal past wounds and develop tools for continued growth. Together, we will devise a treatment plan with achievable goals, all aimed at making life more satisfying.
The foundation of my clinical practice is a strong respect for the wide range of cultural, psychological, and spiritual histories people possess and a commitment to using evidence based treatment interventions to ensure they are provided techniques tailored to their unique needs and goals. I utilize interventions that support trauma informed care approaches incorporating the mind/body/spirit connection to treat the "whole" person. I am experienced in treating a wide variety of issues including trauma such as abuse and neglect, self-injurious or suicidal thoughts and behaviors, marital/couple issues, co-parenting issues, family challenges, focus/attention challenges, mood disorders, depression, self-esteem issues, anxiety, grief and loss, sexual abuse and life challenges. For those that find comfort in their faith, I incorporate practical use of scriptures in to our sessions.
I am a Level II EMDR Clinician and a Certified Trauma Therapist. I am experienced in a wide variety of therapeutic techniques including Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness based approaches and various art and play therapy techniques. I am also trained in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy.
I consider it an honor and a privilege to be invited in to someone’s life during their difficult times. When things become challenging, we can lose sight of who we are and the strengths that are within us. It takes a great deal of courage to reach out for help. I look forward to working with you!

Kristine is always checking in with me if I have not been active all of a sudden, and will keep on checking on me until I have time to fully reply. She listens to my fears, worries, concerns, stressors, joys, the list is endless and so is her advice and coping skills. I have finally found someone I can truly talk to and stick with her. She is in my safety net of people I trust with my issues.
I appreciate Kristine so much.
Kristine has been extremely helpful to me. She is kind and understanding while still pushing me to see and understand things that may be difficult but necessary for me to get better. I would highly recommend her and I am grateful to her and this service.
We have only been working together a short time, but I already feel I have been helped so much! She is incredibly easy to talk to and makes me feel at ease when asking for help and working on my issues. She listens and responds in a way that is helpful for me. I am very thankful for her!
Kristine is been very helpful in helping me set out a plan to organize my life. She seems very experienced !
Would certainly recommend her to my friends and family
Kristine has been tremendously helpful to me. Even after the first email and before my first session, I felt connected to her and tremendous relief. She is very intuitive, kind, supportive, and well-trained. Both her relationship skills and therapy skills are excellent. She responds very quickly, very compassionately, very thoroughly when I email, and therapy appointments are easily accessible and totally meet my needs in the difficult life situation in which I currently find myself. Home-based therapy is a must for me, or no therapy at all. What a find Betterhelp was, and I am so thankful the match they made with Kristine was perfect.! Kristine, and the Betterhelp format are incredibly well suited for me, and I have been immensely helped. I am a therapist myself, and I have every confidence in and much respect for Kristine. Plus, I really like her. :). If you are considering online therapy, I highly recommend it, and Kristine. I have no security or privacy concerns, and the price and quality can’t be beat. Thank you Kristine, and thank you Betterhelp. You are helping me through the most difficult situation I have ever experienced, and given me the support and confidence to know I am not alone, and that I can make it through.
Kristine has been a great asset to my life! I have tried counseling serval times and went a time or two and thought this is silly but now I look forward to talking to her is very therapeutic! It's also very convenient to be able to get help from home although I wish my insurance covered it because I'm not sure how much longer I'll be able to afford it. It has helped me get much as would being able to continue sessions with her! I'm much better than I was but far from the best I could be! She's so kind and caring and pays attention to what I'm saying, to me that's very welcoming! If I had a choice I'd never stop!!
I am shocked that I am even comfortable enough to talk to her at all so she must be doing something right, glad I gave it a chance.
Kristine has a warm, welcoming and real personality. She empathizes with me and echos back what I am struggling to get across. I am very glad I was paired with her.
Kristine is a great counselor. She listens and has a lot of insight. I would recommend her to anyone!
Kristine is definitely been helping me work out some issues. She is always thoughtful and understanding. She is helping me see my strength and worth.
Kristine is amazing. In the course of time that we've been talking she's helped me start to figure out who I really am. She's so nice and supportive and gives me a good laugh. If there were a rating system, she'd be 5/5.
Kristine did a great job asking questions to get to the heart of my problem and offering ways to help me work on it. She also probed a bit deeper than my initial description of the issue to check for underlying issues that could be contributing. I would definitely recommend talking with Kristine to anybody.
She is wonderful!! She leads you to the thought but doesn't give it to you. She encourages growth and understanding of yourself. In the short time I have been with her I feel like I have become a better version of myself. Someone I never thought I would be and never would have been able to become on my own.
Kristine is great, she's very professional and good at answering every question I have about any subject. She's funny and witty, which I appreciate very much . She keeps my spirits up and is almost like a friend to me. :)
I was skeptical about online counseling but since talking with Kristine I feel better already. She made me feel like I could tell her everything and not be judged. She is very kind and warm. I look forward working with her as I better myself.
