About Me
Hello, my name is Kristine. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 25 years of experience working in the mental health field and I truly love what I do! I am dedicated to assisting children, adults, couples and families in their efforts to address past and current challenges, utilize their intrinsic strengths and resources and create happy, fulfilling relationships and lives.
My therapeutic style is warm, open, forthright, honest and supportive providing for the opportunity to form a trusting, collaborative relationship in which clients feel respected, safe, secure, and able to consider new perspectives necessary to achieve a more balanced and fulfilling life. I integrate various treatment approaches in a safe, comfortable, confidential environment where clients can realize personal strengths, heal past wounds and develop tools for continued growth. Together, we will devise a treatment plan with achievable goals, all aimed at making life more satisfying.
The foundation of my clinical practice is a strong respect for the wide range of cultural, psychological, and spiritual histories people possess and a commitment to using evidence based treatment interventions to ensure they are provided techniques tailored to their unique needs and goals. I utilize interventions that support trauma informed care approaches incorporating the mind/body/spirit connection to treat the "whole" person. I am experienced in treating a wide variety of issues including trauma such as abuse and neglect, self-injurious or suicidal thoughts and behaviors, marital/couple issues, co-parenting issues, family challenges, focus/attention challenges, mood disorders, depression, self-esteem issues, anxiety, grief and loss, sexual abuse and life challenges. For those that find comfort in their faith, I incorporate practical use of scriptures in to our sessions.
I am a Level II EMDR Clinician and a Certified Trauma Therapist. I am experienced in a wide variety of therapeutic techniques including Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness based approaches and various art and play therapy techniques. I am also trained in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy.
I consider it an honor and a privilege to be invited in to someone’s life during their difficult times. When things become challenging, we can lose sight of who we are and the strengths that are within us. It takes a great deal of courage to reach out for help. I look forward to working with you!

Kristine is great. I've just started working with her but I never want to stop! She is considerate, so and kind, and pays attention to your needs and helps set goals that are reachable. Kristine is great at what she does, I'm fortunate I got paired with her!
I am shocked that I am even comfortable enough to talk to her at all so she must be doing something right, glad I gave it a chance.
Kristine has a warm, welcoming and real personality. She empathizes with me and echos back what I am struggling to get across. I am very glad I was paired with her.
I have had many counselors before but Kristine has been wonderful. She is so caring and personable. She is very educated and I feel comfortable having her along for my journey. Thank you Kristine!
Kristine is a great counselor. She listens and has a lot of insight. I would recommend her to anyone!
Kristine is definitely been helping me work out some issues. She is always thoughtful and understanding. She is helping me see my strength and worth.
Kristine is amazing. In the course of time that we've been talking she's helped me start to figure out who I really am. She's so nice and supportive and gives me a good laugh. If there were a rating system, she'd be 5/5.
Kristine did a great job asking questions to get to the heart of my problem and offering ways to help me work on it. She also probed a bit deeper than my initial description of the issue to check for underlying issues that could be contributing. I would definitely recommend talking with Kristine to anybody.
She is wonderful!! She leads you to the thought but doesn't give it to you. She encourages growth and understanding of yourself. In the short time I have been with her I feel like I have become a better version of myself. Someone I never thought I would be and never would have been able to become on my own.
Kristine is great, she's very professional and good at answering every question I have about any subject. She's funny and witty, which I appreciate very much . She keeps my spirits up and is almost like a friend to me. :)
I was skeptical about online counseling but since talking with Kristine I feel better already. She made me feel like I could tell her everything and not be judged. She is very kind and warm. I look forward working with her as I better myself.
