Kristy-Ann Cook

About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who've specialized in several scopes of practice for over 10 years, they are Addictions, Children and Families, and Military. I have worked with these populations for over 10 years. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, OCD and ADHD. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse. I have a specialty certification in addictions and also have over 10 years experience providing therapy who are dually diagnosed.

My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic and rational-emotive counseling. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!

Kristy-Ann is so nice and helpful, she can easily sort out what my priorities should be when managing my anxiety, and she give me good advice. Because of her, I’m getting better at managing my anxiety again, and I don’t feel like I’m running away from my problems.

Just started but happy to be working with her

I think Kristy is great! She replies everyday and actually makes you feel listened to, she doesn’t give you short answers or gives you mostly work sheets. I really appreciate the fact that she was the one to encourage me to schedule a phone meeting and that when she realized my meeting was a week away, she made time for me to talk even sooner. When we did talk she made feel super comfortable and listened to while also offering good advice.
