About Me

Changing your perspective can change your life. Together, we can work to identify and challenge the thought processes that are keeping you stuck in feelings and situations that are no longer acceptable. I work from the basis that you know the solutions, we just need to work together to identify and implement them.

I am an Existentialist at heart who uses solution focused strategies to help you make your life into what you want it to be. Whether it is figuring out how to change your circumstances, challenge your thinking, or somewhere in between- my job is to bear witness and offer perspective on the choices you will make and the knowledge you already have.

I am affirming and non-judgmental. I believe that therapy needs to be based in your values and so it is your cultural background, spiritual practice, identity, and life experiences that define our work together, not my own.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Master Addiction Counselor (MAC), Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), and Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS). Specialties include: Addiction and Substance Abuse, Trauma, Anxiety, Life Transitions, Women's Issues, Injury and Illness Related Mental Health, and more.

I haven’t been working with Kristy long, but she is very warm and professional. I’m excited to see how our sessions develop over time.

I have only spoke to her 2 times and though I have done traditional face to face therapy often 1 time per week, she has gotten to the root of things so quickly! Her expertise in trauma is amazing and she often can explain feelings I have not been able to ever! The only regret I have is she is not closer so I could see her face to face!! But she is so effective via the phone so no real regret! Absolutely give her a try!!

After only talking to Kristy for 4 days, FOUR DAYS she has COMPLETELY turned my thinking around. I went from an emotional mess of losing someone very close to me, along with substance abuse, family issues, insecurities, anxiety and depression. She helped me lay out my true feelings, accept them and find a solution to them. I have visited a therapist/dr/counselor since I was a teen. I have never met Kristy, nor have I have video'ed or have I ever heard her voice, I have spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars on therapists, I have checked myself into facilities, and Kristy IS BY FAR the best and I mean THE BEST counselor I have EVER had. I would have never found her without BetterHelp, even though she owns her own practice we have a bit of distance between us. I love Kristy, how she cares for me, my life and my issues, and I hope to stay with her. Forget missing work to make appointments, FORGET copays, Kristy goes with me in the palm of my hand everyday, every night, and everywhere I go. I've found myself more with Kristy than with anyone else. Truly grateful.

Kristy has been very helpful and encouraging. She responds quickly via chat, and is a calm, empathetic presence on video sessions. I would recommend working with her, as in the short period that we’ve been speaking, I can see how her assistance can really help.
