About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in North Carolina and Nevada with over 10 years of experience working as a Individual and Family Therapist and case management Social Worker. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, difficulty with life transitions, and histories of trauma.

My counseling style is warm, collaborative, and motivational. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral techniques, humanist therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and mindfulness. I don't believe everyone in therapy should have their needs met through cookie-cutter methods and strategies. Unique situations should be addressed through individualized interventions and methodologies. I truly believe that the therapeutic process doesn't have to be a linear process. Everyone's journey looks different and that's perfectly fine.

Congratulations on taking your first steps in achieving a more rewarding and fulfilling life. I hope to assist you in achieving this success.

*Please note that at this time I am only offering phone and chat sessions.*

I look forward to working with you!

Krys is a wonderful therapist who has always been there for me. I highly recommend her if you’re looking for either short- or long-term help.

Krys is an amazing therapist. I love how relatable she is and how she will tell jokes to lighten the mood. I truly feel like she cares about my progress and is there to support me in any way. Thank you for everything!

Krys has been a great therapist. She hears my concerns, validates my feelings, and provides resources to help me move forward through the challenges and situations I’m experiencing.

Written on May 14, 2021 after therapy with Krystal for 2 months on issues concerning stress, anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, and compassion fatigue

Krys is kind, understanding, personable, and funny, which for me makes the thought of therapy, which is very scary, so much more approachable. She has listened to me with how my needs have changed throughout us working together and is always supportive and makes me feel at ease when I have not been able to form a relationship or continue to work with any other therapist in the past.

Krys is very helpful. She is a good listener and is very encouraging. She often checks on me in the middle of the week.

Krys has helped me through this pandemic by giving me the tools I need to navigate living with my family. She is a fantastic sounding board and really helps me to work through the day-to-day things that I need to process for my mental health. Plus we laugh a lot, which is the best kind of mental medicine in my opinion.
