About me

I am Lajosha a License Mental Health Counselor, Certified Addiction Professional, and a Qualified Clinical Supervisor residing in Florida (Sunshine State), where I began my career in counseling. I have a B.S. in Criminal Justice/Sociology and a Masters of Arts in Counseling Studies. In life there are moments that causes a major disruption in feelings, thoughts, and behaviors that warrant us to seek out help. Asking for help is not an easy task, but with my help we will be able to transition through the trenches of life with a little better ease. In counseling, we will explore the stressors that surface in daily living, identify patterns that increase chaos, and explore new coping skills. I want to provide a safe and conformable environment that you will feel and willing to explore the areas that have you in the current state.
I begin my counseling career in 2008 in Florida. I began my career in the prison setting and transition into the school setting. I have worked with children and adults for the past ten years, either in-home or in the community to address problems that requires clinical services. I am skilled with depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship conflict, parenting skills, behavioral related issues, substance abuse, and more. I am trained in Addictions and Trauma. Most important I am compassionate and motivated to help you meet your goals. My philosophy is “team work makes the dream work”. We are a team once you chose me as your therapist to explore ways to improve your situation. My theoretical approach is primarily integrative, which includes but not limited to Solution-Focus Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Reality Therapy.

Counseling with me is a non-judgmental, relaxed, and honest opportunity for you to explore you. True me counseling starts with you!
