I want to start by saying that asking for help is never easy, but it is one of the best gifts that you can give yourself. Wherever you go, you take yourself with you. I would like to help you make sure that that person is healthy and comfortable with themselves. Thank you for having the courage to do this for yourself!
I have several years of experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings and am well versed in the different needs that individuals can present with. My focus over the past few years has centered on working in an outpatient and setting with individuals dealing with addiction, trauma, and mental health concerns. I also have experience in working with individuals in the LGBTQ and veteran community.
My counseling style is open and nonjudgmental. I believe in treating everyone with kindness, respect and compassion. I do not believe in labeling people, and pride myself on creating a safe space where people can feel free to be themselves. I do not take a one size fits all approach to therapy but rather, tailor my approaches based on my clients’ needs and what their treatment goals are. In general, I tend to use approaches that combine cognitive-behavioral, person centered and solution focused methods.
I look forward to connecting with you!
