Yes, It's time.
Often, all we need is to give ourselves permission to take that step. You are here because you have taken that step to seek support and understanding. You are ready to make changes that allow you to have control over your journey. Congratulations, you've come to the right place.
I am a Licensed Clinical Counselor with over 10 years experience in the services field. I have had the privilege of working with clients from diverse background with an array of challenges and concerns. I believe therapy fosters empowerment, self-compassion, and growth. Therapy is best when it’s a collaboration. You are the expert on yourself and with guidance you can begin to hear yourself more clearly. Together we can implement and improve goal-setting and goal striving abilities, build and maintain healthy relationships with others and reconnect to self.
My approach includes mindfulness, dialectical behavioral and cognitive behavioral therapies with a strength-based emphasis. My experience in using these modalities have helped individuals navigate relationships, process trauma, explore gender identity, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. Empowering clients to find the freedom and confidence within themselves to take ownership and accountability to their mental health and overall wellness is one of my primary goals as a therapist.
My counseling style is compassionate, engaging, conversational and collaborative. I work in tandem with clients to pursue change based on their unique personality and fundamental values. I look forward to providing a safe and trusting space to listen to your specific concerns without judgement and help you to achieve the peace of mind you deserve.

I LOVE Latavia! I looked so long for a therapist that fit well for my life, and honestly she's great. She's super prompt, really kind, exceptionally detail oriented (remembers everything I tell her) and helps me work through stuff.
I’ve had Latavia as a counselor for a few weeks now. She’s really good about responding the day of or the day after I do. Sometimes she even responds twice in a day. She has a good balance of ‘worksheets’ versus just discussing and listening. This is important for me cause I like the occasional worksheet, but mostly I just want someone to listen and kinda discuss.
She’s patient and understanding and she doesn’t judge me for how I feel or think. Which is good since my thoughts and feelings are very repetitive. I feel at ease with telling her things without fear of her judging me. I would definitely recommend her as a counselor!
