Laura Adamgbo is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and she is nationally certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors, Inc (NCC) to provide mental health counseling. She graduated from Alfred University in NY receiving her B.A. in Clinical/Counseling Psychology. She obtained her M.A. degree in Counseling Psychology from Towson University, MD. Laura has extensive training and experience in treating child and adolescent behavior concerns. She has over 15 years of experience working with families, using a strengths-based approach.
Laura is a Registered Play Therapy-Supervisor (RPT-S) and uses play therapy with her child clients. She is also very passionate about perinatal mood disorders and has received training in this sub-field. Laura sees new and returning mothers who struggle with Post-partum anxiety and depression. She works with couples to strengthen their relationships and offers divorce counseling to those who are considering divorce or have made the decision to split. Laura offers co-parenting counseling to parents and counseling to children who have been impacted by divorce.
