As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker I approach my work from a strength-based, culturally sensitive perspective and through a trauma-informed lens. It is my strong position that clients should be valued as the experts they are on their own lived experiences . With this in mind, my goal is to help clients help themselves. I work from a client-centered perspective that utilizes vulnerability, genuineness, empathy, and unconditional positive regard to help those I work with safely explore the stressors and other life circumstances that may be negatively impacting their sense of peace and well-being in order to find effective strategies that will help achieve a balanced, happy, and healthy life.
I earned my Masters of Social Work at the University at Albany's School of Social Welfare and have since dedicated my work to serving clients in need. I have 11 years of post-graduate experience in clinical social work practice. Over the last five years I have also been providing clinical supervision to both Licensed Master Social Workers and social work students pursuing their Master's degree as they work to develop their clinical practice. I am fully bilingual and speak both Spanish and English with native competency.
I am available to work with clients Wednesdays and Friday mornings (6:45 AM appointment) or Tuesday and Thursday evenings after 6 PM. I look forward to working together with you!
